About Fukurou no Yu

"Fukurou no Yu" is a day-use hot spring spa facility located on the basement 1st floor of Forte Wajima in Honmachi, Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture. Its pride and joy is a natural, free-flowing, high-salinity carbonated spring drawn from 1,500m underground, boasting one of the highest mineral concentrations in Japan. Known as a medicinal spring for its excellent heat retention and circulation-boosting effects, it also features a spacious far-infrared sauna and a soothing steam herbal medicine sauna infused with the fragrance of Japanese and Chinese medicinal plants. Along with a mellow cold plunge bath and a semi-open-air outdoor relaxation area, it offers unlimited-time bedrock baths for a refined adult relaxation experience.

Wakayama Honmachi Onsen

A luxurious free-flowing bath fed by a strong saline spring containing iron, sodium, chloride, and bicarbonate, drawn from 1,500m underground. It is characterized by an extremely high concentration of dissolved minerals, a strong salty taste, and its distinctive brownish and golden hue. Rich in carbon dioxide, it is absorbed through the skin, helping dilate blood vessels and improve circulation, and is renowned as a "heart spring" and medicinal spring that delivers outstanding heat retention.

Silk-In Ultra-Fine Bubble Bath

A silk bath filled with micro-fine bubbles throughout the tub, making the water appear milky white. The smooth water gently massages the skin and lifts away dirt and old dead skin cells trapped in pores, leaving you refreshed and clean. Its supreme texture feels as though your whole body is wrapped in a soft veil, and after bathing it helps prevent your body from cooling down too quickly while promoting remarkably moist, smooth, and beautiful skin.

High-Concentration Carbonated Spring

A high-concentration carbonated spring installed in the indoor bathing area. The high concentration of carbon dioxide dissolved in the water gently envelops the whole body, widens capillaries, promotes blood flow and circulation, and warms you deeply while reducing strain on the body. With its comfortably lukewarm temperature, it is suitable for long soaks and is highly effective for improving blood pressure and relieving daily accumulated fatigue.
