About Sauna You Can Stay At Shinagawa Sauna

Located in Oimachi, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, 'Sauna You Can Stay At Shinagawa Sauna' is a facility that offers a stay-in sauna experience with an attached capsule hotel just a 1-minute walk from the station. It features two sauna rooms (the 'KUU' for aufguss and the 'ZEN' for self-löyly) as its core, along with three types of cold plunge baths: the 'Single' cold plunge bath at approximately 8-9°C for rapid cooling, the 'Little Mermaid' deep cold water bath at about 18°C with a maximum depth of 140cm, and the 'Sensationless Relaxation' cold water bath at around 30°C. This setup perfectly designs the cycle of heat, cold, and relaxation. With 48 capsule rooms available for accommodation, it is a city-focused sauna facility where you can pursue the state of perfect relaxation without worrying about time.

SaunaSAUNA

01SAUNA

ZEN

Men's

A dry sauna centered around a HARVIA LEGEND stove. Designed as semi-private rooms with tatami seating, it provides a quiet environment to 'face oneself.' The weekly changing tea löyly controls aroma and experience. Each semi-private room is equipped with a shower with a cold water button for pinpoint cooling to regulate heart rate.

02SAUNA

KUU

Men's

A dry sauna equipped with two SAWO tower stoves. The lighting and ceiling are optimized for steam effects, and high-frequency aufguss sessions are conducted. It has a permanent self-löyly with vihta water and can accommodate up to 25 people, creating peaks of heat and humidity to rapidly enhance sweating.

Cold BathCOLD BATH

01COLD BATH

Little Mermaid

Men's

With a water temperature of approximately 18°C and a maximum depth of about 140cm, it is designed to fully submerge the body, allowing for diving and providing comprehensive cooling.

02COLD BATH

Sensationless Bath

Men's

Set at a lukewarm temperature of around 30°C, it serves as a 'release' between relaxation and cooling, allowing the body to loosen. Equipped with rattan pillows and sloped bathtubs, it completes the cooldown while resting the body.

03COLD BATH

Single

Men's

Offering an extremely low temperature range of approximately 8-9°C, this bath provides an intensely cooling experience that tightens the body immediately after a sauna session.

Most of what we surveyed never even made it onto this site. This book is a further cut from what did. Our editor bathed in every onsen and sauna in it, and wrote only what they confirmed on the ground.
