About Nijinoyu Nishiyamato
"Nijinoyu Nishiyamato" is a day-use natural hot spring facility in Kaminacho, Kitakatsuragi District, Nara Prefecture. Its sodium chloride spring, which rises from a depth of 1,500 m in strata dating back about 80 million years to the age of the dinosaurs, is a distinctive cloudy wagtail-green bath that can be enjoyed outdoors as free-flowing spring water. The outdoor area features Shigaraki ware ceramic tubs and a ceramic cold plunge bath, and it also has a rare cold plunge bath filled with natural spring water flowing directly from the source. It offers a radon ceramic sauna, an outdoor barrel sauna, and, for women, a herbal sauna with mugwort steaming as well. With a restaurant serving ingredients from Nara Prefecture and well-equipped relaxation areas, it is one of the leading hot spring facilities in northern Nara.

The spring quality is sodium-chloride hot spring. It rises from strata dating back about 80 million years to the age of the dinosaurs, at a depth of 1,500 m, and has a salty taste and a deeply warming after-bath sensation. The outdoor pot baths and ceramic baths are explicitly free-flowing spring water, enhancing the feel and heat retention. After bathing, muscle tension and chill are eased, leaving your body feeling completely refreshed.
Ceramic Bath
An egg-shaped private bath for one, made from Shigaraki ware ceramic kneaded with radon. The ceramic material contains radon, which is expected to help expel waste products that cause stiffness and support recovery from fatigue. It is a private hot spring bath you can enjoy at your own pace, and the smooth texture of the Shigaraki ware feels pleasant against the skin.
Carbonated Spring
A carbonated spring bath in the outdoor area. Carbon dioxide dissolved in the water envelops the whole body, bringing various benefits such as improved circulation, relaxation, and skin-beautifying effects. You can enjoy the pleasant fizzy sensation in the fresh outdoor air.
Waterfall-View Bath (outdoor)
An outdoor hot spring bath where you can soak while looking at a waterfall. Underwater lighting is installed, so by day it is bathed in natural light, while at night it transforms into a fantastical scene with the lights glowing from beneath the water. It creates a luxurious moment away from the bustle of everyday life, accompanied by the sound of falling water.

Radon Sauna
A heat vortex created by laying radon ceramic boards on the benches and operating auto-löyly every 30 minutes. The moment you sit down, the heat and sweating begin, and the warmth gradually spreads across the front of your body. Despite its large size, the balance between the bench layout and heat supply is excellent, and the flow from sweating to cooling and resting is designed to be smooth.
Barrel Sauna (outdoor)
A small cylindrical sauna wrapped in the scent of wood, designed to load heat quickly in a short time. It is close to the outdoor-air bath deck, making for an efficient session cycle.
Herbal Sauna (mugwort steaming)
A women’s herbal sauna that combines mugwort steaming with salt. The room is filled with the distinctive aroma and steam of mugwort, and is expected to provide beauty benefits for the skin as well as detox effects from within the body. The temperature is relatively low, so it is less likely to feel stifling, making it suitable both for alternating with a high-temperature sauna and for relaxed use on its own.

Indoor cold plunge bath
A cooling bath designed at a depth of about 90 cm, letting you sink in properly up to the shoulders. Positioned with the heat-to-cold flow from the radon sauna in mind, it allows you to move efficiently toward a state of perfect relaxation without any wasted steps.
Free-flowing spring-water cold plunge bath
A cold plunge bath in the outdoor area that uses source water. The spring water that gushes up is offered as free-flowing spring water, allowing you to enjoy a sensation different from tap water.
