About Mifune Terrace

"Mifune Terrace" is a brand-new hot spring and accommodation complex that has opened in Mifune Town, Kumamoto Prefecture. It boasts exceptional facilities shaped around the needs of sauna enthusiasts, with three rooms: a high-temperature dry sauna over 100°C, a meditation sauna where self-löyly is possible, and a mild steam sauna. The standout feature is a cold-plunge combination bath with two options: an ultra-cold bath set below 10°C in a "single" configuration, and a standard cold plunge bath at around 16°C. In the spacious outdoor cooling area, reclining chairs are lined up, allowing guests to fully enjoy the blissful totonou experience while bathing their whole body in the pleasant Kumamoto breeze.

SaunaSAUNA

01SAUNA

High-Temperature Dry Sauna

Men'sWomen's

A large dry sauna known for its powerful settings exceeding 100°C. The strong, intense heat fills the room, letting you work up a sweat in no time. The spacious benches let you take in the heat properly, creating an environment that satisfies even dedicated high-heat sauna fans. In the bright, open room, you can enjoy a refreshing sauna session.

02SAUNA

Self-löyly Sauna

Men'sWomen's

An authentic Finnish-style sauna where self-löyly on the sauna stones is possible. In the calm, dimly lit space, you can adjust the humidity and heat to your liking. The soft steam rising from the löyly gently envelops your body, letting you relax deeply and enjoy sweating in a meditative atmosphere.

03SAUNA

Steam Sauna

Men'sWomen's

A pleasant steam sauna with mild temperatures and plenty of moisture. It is easy on the body and lets you feel the warmth gradually from deep within. Ideal for a quick refresh between high-heat saunas or for those mainly seeking a longer, more relaxed session. Soothing and delicate warmth helps melt away both body and mind.

Cold BathCOLD BATH

01COLD BATH

Ultra-Cold Single Cold Plunge Bath

Men'sWomen's

An ultra-low-temperature cold plunge bath that achieves a sub-10°C "single" setting. Its intense chill instantly tightens the body and provides the perfect shock after a high-temperature sauna. The crisp cooling experience promises a profound sense of bliss during the subsequent outdoor air bath. This is the ultimate cooling spot for experienced sauna users seeking the pinnacle of sauna culture.

02COLD BATH

Moderately Cold Bath

Men'sWomen's

A standard cold plunge bath maintained at a stable water temperature of around 16°C to 18°C. It is ideal for alternating baths after the single cold plunge bath, and cooling the body in stages allows for a more delicate and deeper relaxation. In a clean, inviting tub, anyone can cool down comfortably in this versatile bath.
