"Suginoi Hotel" is one of the largest hot spring resorts in Japan, located in Kankaiji Onsen in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture. Its defining feature is Tanayu, a grand open-air bath with five tiers of baths arranged like rice terraces. With an overwhelming sense of openness, guests can enjoy spectacular views of Beppu Bay along with the hot springs. In 2023, the sauna area was extensively renovated, and a full-scale sauna featuring auto-löyly and a dreamlike light display was introduced. You can also take in the scenery from the sauna room windows, and together with the newly added cold plunge bath, enjoy an ultimate totonou experience under the skies of Beppu. The facility also includes Soryu, reserved exclusively for overnight guests, allowing visitors to experience Beppu Onsen with all five senses.

The sodium chloride spring has excellent heat-retention properties, making it ideal for a long, leisurely soak while feeling the sea breeze. A crisp, cold cold plunge bath newly installed to coincide with the sauna renovation. It quickly cools down a body heated by the sauna and helps tighten the skin. In a clean, refreshing tub, cooling down while feeling the breeze of Beppu is especially delightful. It plays a key role in the carefully designed totonou flow that leads to the overwhelming openness of Tanayu.
