"Matsusaka Onsen Kumano no Sato" is a day-trip hot spring facility in Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture. It is proud of its weakly alkaline natural hot spring that bubbles up from 1,300 m underground. The men's side offers a pure Japanese-style atmosphere, while the women's side features a Bali-style resort space. The open-air area is equipped with an authentic self-löyly sauna, and the cold plunge bath using binchotan charcoal, along with a scenic observation deck for outdoor bathing, creates a truly blissful moment. A well-stocked comic room, restaurant, and esthetic salon are also on site, allowing you to spend the entire day relaxing and experiencing the ultimate in comfort.

Matsusaka Onsen Kumano no Yu

This hot spring uses an abundant private source that wells up from 1,300 m underground. It is a colorless, clear simple hot spring with a smooth texture, and because it is weakly alkaline with a pH of 8.4, it is expected to gently condition the skin and leave it smooth. In the source-fed bath in the indoor area, you can fully enjoy the pure hot spring water just as it is, without any added water. After bathing, your skin feels silky, and the strong heat-retaining effect keeps your body warm and cozy for a long time.

A dry sauna installed on the indoor bath side that warms the body gradually and deeply. Thanks to the gentle heating effect of far infrared rays, it feels less hard to breathe and slowly warms you from within. A TV is installed, so you can work up a sweat at your own pace. It is easy for beginners and for those who do not like very hot saunas to use, and another feature is the spacious tiered seating, where you can choose the level of heat that suits you best.

A cold plunge bath in the indoor area that uses binchotan charcoal. Thanks to the effect of binchotan charcoal, the water quality feels mellow and gentle on the skin, almost as if it is clinging softly to you. With a comfortably cool temperature, you can sink in slowly and cool down refreshingly without placing too much strain on the body. The layout also takes into account easy access to the nearby open-air space.

A cold plunge bath newly added to the open-air area in connection with the opening of the open-air sauna. It is characterized by its crisp chill and offers excellent access, allowing you to cool down immediately after leaving the sauna room. While feeling the surrounding lush greenery with all five senses, you can gently cool your body with the pleasant breeze in the open air. After the cold plunge bath, you can move straight to the observation deck, where a sublime outdoor bathing experience awaits.
