About Kannonzan Sauna Mushidera

"Kannon Mountain Sauna Jojidera" is a sauna facility located on Kannon Mountain in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. Situated at an elevation of 190 meters, it offers a breathtaking location with the concept of "training to attain enlightenment," pushing the mind and body to their limits. It features three saunas: Shaka-enbu, a dry sauna over 90°C, Kuunoma with a wood-burning stove, and Mushikannon, an aromatic steam sauna, each providing different levels of heat. A 9°C single cold plunge bath rapidly cools the body, while a 14°C relaxation cold plunge bath and a cypress bath guide a gradual cooldown. The outdoor air bath space offers a panoramic view of Takasaki's grand scenery and night view, where deep meditative totonou in silence can be achieved. The drink menu is extensive, and you can bring your own tumbler into the sauna room.

SaunaSAUNA

01SAUNA

Kuunoma

Men's

A small wood-burning stove sauna inspired by outer space. With a single-tier structure, 5-6 people can feel a sense of unity with the universe while achieving totonou. The flickering wood flames and self-löyly allow for luxurious heat adjustments. Even hotter than Shaka-enbu, the soft and deep heat unique to wood penetrates to the core of the body. In a quiet environment, face yourself and be enveloped in a cosmic sensation.

02SAUNA

Mushikannon

Men's

A steam sauna where high-temperature steam and special aromas blend. With a three-tier structure, the gentle heat with high humidity envelops the skin. The special aroma deepens breathing and guides you to a meditative state of relaxation. Unlike a dry sauna, it offers a soft sweating experience, moisturizing the skin while warming the body from the core. In a healing space inspired by Kannon, deeply unwind the fatigue of the mind and body.

03SAUNA

Shaka-enbu

Men's

A large dry sauna inspired by Buddhist teachings. It pushes the mind and body to their limits with overwhelming heat. Automatic löyly occurs every 20 minutes, enveloping the room in heat waves. In meditative silence, sweat gradually and experience a time of training that releases the mind and body. The temperature varies by tier, allowing you to enter according to your physical condition.

Cold BathCOLD BATH

01COLD BATH

Relaxation Cold Plunge Bath & Cypress Bath

Men's

A relaxation cold plunge bath with a moderate chill that allows for a gradual entry. The water depth is about waist-high, gently cooling down the body.

02COLD BATH

Single Cold Plunge Bath

Men's

A single cold plunge bath. With a sharp chill that rapidly cools the body heated in the sauna, it leads to a crisp state of totonou. After being heated to the limit in the sauna, a quick plunge here results in a refreshing awakening sensation coursing through the body. The contrast between scorching heat and extreme cold creates a deep meditative totonou experience.
