About Madarao no Yu

"Madarao no Yu" is a day-use natural hot spring facility nestled on the slopes of the beautiful Madarao Highlands in Nakano, Nagano Prefecture. The open-air area has newly installed a full-scale barrel sauna with self-löyly, marking its grand opening. The water is an alkaline simple hot spring, and the indoor bath, surrounded by nature, now features a hydrogen bath that offers excellent beauty benefits. From the open-air bath, you can enjoy views of the highlands lined with beautiful birch trees. Highlights for sauna enthusiasts include an ultra-deep spring-water bath, fed by mountain stream water, where you can stand and soak up to your shoulders, and an outdoor air bath under the crisp highland breeze, all backed by exceptional specs.

A natural alkaline simple hot spring. The indoor bath features a very popular and extremely rare hydrogen bath, offering expected beauty and antioxidant benefits, as well as strong fatigue recovery effects from the high concentration of hydrogen. The open-air bath is an open, rock-lined bath overlooking the beautifully standing birch trees. You can enjoy a long, soothing soak in the clear highland air, and even after getting out, your entire body remains moist and smooth for an exceptional skin-beautifying bathing experience (heated and circulatory filtration).

Barrel Sauna

A full-scale barrel-shaped sauna installed in the open-air area, filled with the pleasant aroma of wood. It now offers self-löyly, so pouring water over the sauna stones quickly fills the room with a wave of hot, high-quality steam. Through the windows, you can look out at the beautiful birch forest and the open-air scenery while being gently warmed from the core, surrounded by the scent of firewood and wood for an exceptional experience.
