About Michinoo Onsen
Michinoo Onsen is a historic public bath founded in the first year of the Meiji era, located in Nagayo, Nishisonogi District, Nagasaki. It features a dedicated mist sauna that uses the hot spring source vaporized as-is, allowing guests to sweat comfortably without feeling stuffy. The cold water bath uses a household-style tub fed directly with the source spring water, letting visitors enjoy the onsen water as a continuous flow. The mild alkaline simple spring is drinkable and gentle on the skin, leaving a lasting warmth. The rest area serves dishes prepared with onsen water, and the Showa-era retro atmosphere offers a soothing, nostalgic experience.
