"Orochi Yuttari-kan" is a day-use hot spring facility in Kisuki Town, Unnan City, Shimane Prefecture. Modeled after the legend of Yamata no Orochi, it offers two bath areas—a shrine-style wooden bath and a rugged stone bath made with rock—in a weekly alternating schedule for men and women. With eight bathing experiences in all, including an open-air bath set against a giant serpent sculpture on the roof, a reclining bath, jet bath, bubbling bath, and hot spring pool, it also features a sauna and a cold plunge bath fed generously with underground water. Soak in the sodium and calcium sulfate spring of Higashihidaka Onsen, rich in water volume, and you can settle deeply into comfort with the famous waters of Okuizumo.

A sodium-calcium sulfate hot spring drawn from nearby Higashihidaka Onsen, with low-tonicity and alkaline properties. The source temperature is 36°C, so it is heated and circulated, but with a pH of 9.55 it has a smooth, silky feel on the skin. It is said to help with neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, and sensitivity to cold, and its warmth lasts long after you leave the bath. You can enjoy this water in a variety of settings, including the open-air bath overlooking the giant serpent sculpture on the roof, as well as the shrine-style wooden bath and the mystical rock bath.

A dry sauna with a calm atmosphere reminiscent of shrine architecture. Equipped with a far-infrared stove by Sun Burning, the top level is the third tier near the ceiling, where strong heat and just the right amount of humidity wrap around your skin. A faint herbal aroma rises from the box beside the stove, allowing you to focus deeply in a quiet space without a TV.

A cold plunge bath filled with free-flowing underground water from Okuizumo, located right outside the sauna room. The water is deep enough to reach from the waist to the chest, with a size that lets you immerse yourself up to the shoulders. As you sink into the depth, your heated body from the sauna cools down all at once.
