Hokkaido Asahikawa City
An Asahikawa oasis where you can enjoy self-löyly and superb natural groundwater cold plunge baths
"SPA & SAUNA Osper" is a 24-hour spa and sauna facility in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. It offers two types of sauna experiences: an intense far-infrared sauna with hot wave events, and an authentic self-löyly sauna scented with aromas such as birch, providing a wide range of ways to sweat. After the sauna, cool down in style with two cold plunge baths using Asahikawa’s pristine natural groundwater. In the semi-outdoor Wind-Led Zone, the flow from sauna to cold plunge bath to outdoor air bath is designed for smooth transitions, leading you into deep relaxation. The large bath area, with carbonated spring water and rotating baths, as well as the restaurant and manga room, are also well equipped, making it easy to spend the whole day in comfort.

A large bath area whose walls are decorated with a magnificent painted mural of Mount Asahidake and the Daisetsuzan Range, drawn by Mizuki Tanaka, one of only three sento mural artists in Japan. It features a wide variety of baths, including carbonated spring water that surrounds your whole body with comfortable bubbles, rotating baths with different herbal medicines or fragrances each day, and a hot bath that warms you thoroughly. Between sauna sessions or after bathing, you can loosen up and relax at your own pace.

A far-infrared sauna born from a quirky remodelling of an old-fashioned sauna that has evolved together with the facility’s history. Powerful heat fills the room, and you can work up a sweat while watching TV. At the hot wave events held almost every day, the intense wind and performances by the sauna master deliver an exhilarating sweating experience unlike anything else.

A full-fledged self-löyly sauna installed in the semi-outdoor Wind-Led Zone. In this quiet space without a TV, you can relax deeply while facing yourself. Pour water over the sauna stones, and the aromas of daily-changing scents such as birch and soft steam spread through the room, enveloping your whole body in gentle heat.
Bathing is not available from 9:00 to 10:00 due to tub cleaning. On the second Tuesday of every month, entry is not available from 8:00 to 17:00 due to a major cleaning.

A cold plunge bath located inside the large bath area, using Asahikawa’s clear natural groundwater. The water temperature changes with the seasons, so in winter it feels sharply cold, while in summer it offers a milder touch on the skin. It gently tightens a body warmed by the sauna, and the smooth water quality provides a pleasant cooldown.

A cold plunge bath located in the semi-outdoor Wind-Led Zone. It also uses Asahikawa’s natural groundwater, letting you enjoy a natural, untamed chill whose water temperature shifts with the outside air. After leaving the bath, you can immediately head to the nearby outdoor air bath area and enjoy a blissful totonou time while feeling the breeze.
