Tokyo Ota City

"Kamata Onsen" is a long-established sento in Ota City, Tokyo, founded in 1937. Its signature feature is kuroyu, a jet-black natural hot spring known for being one of the richest in concentration in Tokyo. Celebrated as a skin-beautifying bath that leaves the skin smooth, it offers both intensely hot water and comfortably warm water, so you can enjoy two different bathing experiences. The sauna, renewed in 2023, has powerful far-infrared heat that feels pleasant, and the calm lighting makes it easy to focus inward. The compact one-person cold plunge bath is ideal for alternating with the kuroyu. On the second floor, you can also try the specialty kamameshi at the dining area, all while relaxing in the warm, nostalgic atmosphere of an old downtown neighborhood.
