About Araki Kosen
"Araki Kosen" is a historic onsen ryokan in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, founded in 1827 in the tenth year of the Bunsei era of the Edo period. Beloved as one of the Chichibu Seven Baths, known as Miyo no Yu, it offers a famed hot spring celebrated for its silky feel and also called tamago-mizu, or egg water. The sauna is compact yet fully equipped with a genuine dry sauna. The highlight is the barrel-shaped cold plunge bath, lavishly filled with water drawn directly from the source. After a sauna session, the mineral-rich cold spring water gently envelops your heated body, helping you unwind deeply in the quiet atmosphere that only a ryokan can provide. It is a blissful hidden retreat where you can fully enjoy both the famous hot spring and the sauna in a space steeped in history.
