About Keio Takaosan Onsen Gokurakuyu
Keio Takaosan Onsen Gokurakuyu is a day-use hot spring facility adjacent to Takaosanguchi Station on the Keio Line, and is immensely popular with hikers. Its alkaline simple hot spring, which springs from 1,000 m underground, is effective for muscle pain and recovery from fatigue, gently soothing the body after a mountain climb. In the outdoor area, you will find a variety of baths, including a rock bath where you can feel the nature of Mount Takao up close, a silky cypress bath with tiny bubbles that feel pleasant on the skin, and a carbonated stone-lined bath. Combined with a well-heated sauna and a crisp cold plunge bath, outdoor bathing in the refreshing mountain air offers an exceptional totonou experience that cannot be found in the city.
