About Ibusuki Royal Hotel

"Ibusuki Royal Hotel" is a resort hotel in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, centered on the concept of beauty and health. From the open-air bath on a hilltop, guests can take in a panoramic view of Kinkowan Bay and the Osumi Peninsula, and enjoy a liberating bath accompanied by the sound of the waves. The hot spring is the historic Komoso-yu, said to have been visited by Komuso monks for therapeutic bathing in the Edo period. Rich in metasilicic acid and calcium ions, both known for their skin-beautifying properties, it leaves the skin supple and smooth. The hotel also offers extensive amenities and a post-bath relaxation area designed with women in mind.

Hot SpringONSEN

Komoso-yu

Komoso-yu, one of Ibusuki’s famous hot springs, has a history stretching back to the Edo period. Rich in metasilicic acid and calcium ions, it is said to help support collagen production and balance ceramides in the skin. Its gentle waters are known for their soft texture, and after bathing, the skin feels moisturized while warmth remains deep within the body for a long time. In the spectacular open-air bath, guests can enjoy a blissful soak while gazing at the ever-changing sea and sky throughout the day and night.

Most of what we surveyed never even made it onto this site. This book is a further cut from what did. Our editor bathed in every onsen and sauna in it, and wrote only what they confirmed on the ground.
