"Unzen Onsen Azumaen" is a Japanese-style resort ryokan nestled on the shores of Oshidori no Ike in Unzen City, Nagasaki Prefecture. From every guest room, you can take in sweeping views of the majestic pond, and enjoy the lavish kake-nagashi flow of its own natural hot spring. In the detached Yumidokoro Rien, you will also find a retractable sauna and a cold plunge bath filled with mountain spring water. The property’s own natural spring water, which gushes from within the grounds, is used lavishly in a free-flowing style. Unzen’s powerful acidic spring water deeply relieves everyday fatigue. From the open-air bath in the large public bath, you can look out over Oshidori no Ike below and be enveloped in a mysterious sensation, as if connected to the surface of the lake itself. Spending time immersed in the abundant spring water while watching the changing face of the natural scenery is truly exceptional.
