"Kadadai Awajima Onsen Osaka-ya Hiina no Yu" is a long-established hot spring ryokan in Kada, Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, with magnificent ocean views and sunsets. Its spring quality is a sodium bicarbonate-chloride spring with a pH of 8.2, and it proudly offers a superb, lotion-like silky bath known as a "beauty bath". On the top-floor rooftop, a luxurious sauna & spa overlooking the sea and fishing harbor of Kada has opened. It is fully equipped with an authentic barrel sauna, dry sauna, cold plunge bath, and open-air hot spring bath. During the day it is available for private use, and from the evening onward it operates on a mixed-gender time-sharing system for men and women (swimsuits or sauna ponchos required), allowing guests to enjoy an exquisite totonou experience.
A large public bath enjoyed on alternating days for men and women. The hotel’s own natural spring, Kadadai Awajima Onsen, has a pH of 8.2 and is rich in beauty-enhancing bicarbonate. It is characterized by an exceptionally smooth, lotion-like texture. As it is also a chloride spring, it provides excellent warmth retention after bathing, keeping you warm for a long time afterward while leaving your skin moist, supple, and radiant.
A spacious stone bathtub where you can privately enjoy the silky beauty bath of the hotel’s own Kadadai Awajima Onsen spring. A comfortable tatami-floored post-bath relaxation area is also provided, allowing you to fully enjoy a luxurious and soothing time with someone special or with family in a private setting.
