About Arima Onsen Gekkoen Kourokan

"Arima Onsen Gekkoen Kourokan" is a scenic inn in Arima Onsen in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, surrounded by the magnificent natural beauty of Mount Ochibayama. Guests can lavishly enjoy the rich red hot spring known as kinsen, drawn from the rare private source on the property, in an open-air observatory bath overlooking the beauty of the mountain valley before them. The large public baths, "Kinpa no Yu" and "Ginpa no Yu," are equipped with newly renovated dry saunas filled with the warmth of wood, where you can refresh yourself with mild yet substantial heat. After cooling down with a cold shower, a blissful outdoor air bath awaits, accompanied by the murmur of Takigawa, which flows from Tsuzumigataki, and the refreshing river breeze.

Hot SpringONSEN

Arima Onsen (kinsen)

Kinsen, the rare hot spring that gushes from the private source on the property in Arima. Rich in iron and salt, it is characterized by its cloudy water, which turns a brownish-red color through oxidation. The salt gently wraps the skin like a veil, making its heat-retaining and moisturizing effects extremely high, and it is said to be especially beneficial for chronic muscle pain and sensitivity to cold. In the open-air bath overlooking the grand seasonal beauty of Mount Ochibayama's valley, you can enjoy both exceptional warmth and a superb view at once.

A calm sauna with a rich woody aroma, attached to each large public bath. While the set temperature is mild, the high-quality heat circulating evenly through the compact room gently warms you from deep within and encourages a comfortable, healthy sweat. It is a space where you can relax in the sauna's quiet stillness while feeling the great nature of Mount Ochibayama and the murmur of Takigawa just nearby.
