UnzenMiyazakiRyokan

Purify mind and body with Kirin no Yu, where you can feel the heat of Unzen Jigoku, and a superb sauna scented with sulfur

Nagasaki Unzen City

A long-established ryokan located directly above Unzen Jigoku in the national park, surrounded by billowing steam rising from the hot springs. A 2022 renovation transformed it into a luxurious space where tradition and modern design come together. Its signature hot spring, Kirin no Yu, is a fresh sulfur spring drawn directly from Daikyokan Jigoku. The large public bath is also equipped with a clean dry sauna and a cold plunge bath, and the alternating hot-and-cold bathing experience, wrapped in the rich scent of sulfur, offers a level of deep relaxation and purification you won't find anywhere else.
