About Omori

"Wagokoro no Yado Omori" is a long-established hot spring ryokan founded in 1919 in Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture. From the spectacular open-air bath on the rooftop at an elevation of 800 meters, guests can take in sweeping views of the mountains, including the Tanigawa Range and Mt. Komochi, as well as the beautiful streetscape of Ikaho. The large public bath, Rakurakuyu, features a full-fledged compact sauna where you can enjoy self-löyly, along with a barrel-style cold water bath designed for solo use. Wrapped in the colorless, clear, and mellow waters of Shirogane no Yu, guests can savor an exceptional relaxation and totonou experience. This is a warm and welcoming inn where the innkeeper's meticulous sincerity lives in every detail of the hospitality.

Hot SpringONSEN

Large Public Bath Rakurakuyu

A spacious indoor bath where you can leisurely unwind from the fatigue of travel. The hot spring uses Shirogane no Yu, a colorless, clear, and mellow water, and is kept constantly clean through a combined free-flow and recirculation system. Its smooth texture gently envelops the skin, and you can feel its benefits for recovery from fatigue and skin beautification. Since the baths alternate between men and women in the morning and evening, you can enjoy two different indoor baths with distinct atmospheres and truly refresh yourself while reclining in a large tub.

Rooftop Open-Air Baths Roman and Honoka

A spectacular open-air bath located at an overwhelming height of 800 meters above sea level. There are two baths: Honoka, with the comforting warmth of hinoki cypress, and Roman, a spacious garden-style bath. From either one, the grand mountain scenery of Joshu, including Mt. Akagi and the Tanigawa Range, spreads out right before your eyes. Soaking in the colorless, gentle Shirogane no Yu, you can feel the clear blue sky and the breath of nature during the day, and gaze up at a sky full of stars at night. It is truly an exceptional relaxation space where you can become one with nature.

Private Open-Air Bath Nagomi

A luxurious private open-air bath on the top floor where you can enjoy the hot spring in complete privacy. The warm ceramic tub creates a calm and modern Japanese atmosphere, while letting you exclusively enjoy a panoramic view of the streetscape of Ikaho and the distant mountains. Listening to the gentle sound of flowing water, you can relax, chat with family or someone special, and soak in the bath at your own pace. It is a place where you can fully enjoy a special onsen atmosphere, completely away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

SaunaSAUNA

01SAUNA

Self-löyly Sauna

Men'sWomen's

A small self-löyly sauna installed in the large public bath, Rakurakuyu. The seating is arranged in a single tier, and the scent of wood drifting through the room, together with the silence, lends the space a meditative atmosphere. Because the room is compact, the moment you pour water over the sauna stones, a mellow yet powerful wave of heat quickly fills the entire room, encouraging a pleasant sweat. You can quietly focus on yourself, adjust the humidity to your preference, and enjoy a high-quality sauna session with a private, intimate feel.

Cold BathCOLD BATH

01COLD BATH

Barrel Cold Plunge Bath

Men'sWomen's

An adorable barrel-style cold plunge bath designed for solo use, placed directly in front of the sauna room. It uses abundant tap water from the Haruna mountain range, and the water quality is extremely clear and gentle on the skin. By sinking into the perfectly sized barrel that fits one person snugly, you can cool down refreshingly while enjoying a private sense of weightlessness. It also offers smooth access to the relaxation chairs inside the indoor bath area, allowing you to fully enjoy a luxurious hot-and-cold contrast bathing experience with excellent flow.
