An inn associated with Ujo Noguchi! An open-air bath with panoramic Pacific Ocean views and a gentle simple sulfur onsen

Ibaraki Kitaibaraki City

"Toshimaya Tsukihama no Yu" is a long-established hot spring inn in Kitaibaraki City, Ibaraki Prefecture, with a history of more than 120 years since its founding. It is known as a place associated with the children’s song writer Ujo Noguchi, whose birthplace is just a short distance from the inn. From the observation bath on the top floor, Tsukimi no Yu, guests can enjoy magnificent views of the vast Pacific Ocean stretching out before them, the gentle flow of the Okita River, and the sunset sinking into the Abukuma Mountains. The simple sulfur cold mineral spring, Isobara Onsen, drawn from within the grounds, is mildly alkaline and highly effective for beautiful skin, with a smooth, gently soft feel. Two atmospheric private open-air baths, where you can listen to the sound of the waves, are also popular.
