Kochi Kochi City
Experience Kochi's okyaku culture and the nature of Tosa. Fill body and mind with the energy of Yosakoi and the sauna equipped with auto-löyly
OMO7 Kochi by Hoshino Resorts is a hotel where guests can experience Kochi's lively okyaku culture, based on the concept of "Kojanto Rakuen, Saa, Yosa Koi!" The large public bath, Tosano-yu, features an indoor bath decorated with a colorful mural of furafu banners, an open-air bath that lets you feel the nature of Tosa, and a sauna equipped with auto-löyly. After bathing, refresh yourself with drinks made with citrus fruits and ginger. At night, the daily Yosakoi Rakuen LIVE, in which the staff become dancers, is held every evening, allowing guests to fully enjoy the energy and relaxation unique to Kochi.

The indoor bath in the large public bath Tosano-yu is striking, with a dynamic mural inspired by furafu, Kochi's traditional celebration banner. Surrounded by vivid colors, the experience of soaking in the hot water is uniquely Kochi. The open-air bath features plantings inspired by Tosa's mountains and original landscape, allowing guests to enjoy a peaceful bath while feeling the open air. The water has a gentle texture that softly eases away the fatigue of the day. At night, the illuminated garden creates a dreamlike atmosphere, adding a charm that is different from the daytime ambiance.

The sauna located inside the large public bath is known for its auto-löyly, which is performed every 20 minutes. Each time water is poured onto the stones, pleasant steam and heat fill the room, quickly encouraging a good sweat. The room is new and clean, and the scent of wood adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The temperature is set at around 85 degrees, making it appealing to everyone from beginners to sauna enthusiasts. Because the auto-löyly maintains a comfortable level of humidity, it is less likely to feel stifling, allowing you to warm up thoroughly from the core.

The outdoor cold plunge bath is a spacious design filled with Hoshino Resorts' attention to detail. It is large enough for several people to soak comfortably at once, allowing for relaxation without worrying about those around you. The water temperature is maintained at around 15 to 18 degrees, quickly tightening the body after the heat of auto-löyly. In front of you spreads a garden inspired by the nature of Tosa, offering the luxurious experience of gazing at greenery while soaking in the water. It is also deep enough to cool the entire body efficiently.

Most of what we surveyed never even made it onto this site. This book is a further cut from what did. Our editor bathed in every onsen and sauna in it, and wrote only what they confirmed on the ground.
