About Misasa Onsen Misasakan

"Misasa Onsen Misasakan" is a purely Japanese-style ryokan in Misasa Town, Tohaku District, Tottori Prefecture, with 3 hot spring sources on its grounds. You can enjoy the renowned waters of Misasa Onsen, famous for having one of the world’s highest radon concentrations, through free-flowing natural hot spring water from its own source, fed by an outstanding volume of water unique to Misasa. The grounds feature a vast 1,000-tsubo Japanese garden bath, divided into two main zones: the tranquil Niwa no Yu, surrounded by trees, and the dramatic Taki no Yu, where a powerful source-water waterfall flows. Together, the 12 varied bathing areas let you enjoy an exceptional hot spring tour while taking in the changing seasons of the Japanese garden.

Bath

A natural hot spring from the ryokan’s own source, bubbling up from 3 wells on the grounds and offering the most generous water volume in Misasa Onsen. The radium spring, containing a high concentration of radon, helps balance the body and mind through its excellent hormesis effects. It is served as free-flowing natural hot spring water in the large bath and open-air baths, and the water feels astonishingly soft on the skin while warming the body deeply from within. Surrounded by the lush natural beauty of a Japanese garden, you can fully enjoy an exceptional sense of relaxation.
