Iwate Hanamaki City
An infinity hot spring overlooking a grand mountain stream and an exceptional sauna experience
"Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Iwate Hanamaki" is a hot spring hotel in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. Nestled in the rich natural surroundings of the Hanamaki Onsen area, this property captivates guests with its infinity open-air bath, where you can feel as though you are one with the clear stream stretching out below. After soothing yourself in the gently skin-wrapping waters of the alkaline simple spring, take your time working up a sweat in a full-fledged dry sauna scented with wood, then refresh and tighten body and mind in the crisp cold plunge bath. With the murmuring of the mountain stream as your background music while enjoying outdoor air bathing, you can experience a blissful time of deep relaxation and feel the breath of the forest. There is also a refined private space with an open-air bath in the guest room, making for a special stay away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

A spectacular infinity-style open-air bath with a majestic mountain stream spread out before you. When you sink into the tub, built to project out from the cliff, you are wrapped in a mysterious feeling of floating, as though you were suspended above the valley. The alkaline simple hot spring water, gentle and comfortable on the skin, slowly loosens both body and mind, while the colors of nature through the seasons and the sound of the flowing stream bring an extraordinary sense of relaxation.

A spacious, serene indoor bath area based on a Japanese aesthetic. Natural light pours in generously through the large windows, allowing you to enjoy bathing in an open atmosphere regardless of the weather. The simple hot spring water, with few peculiarities and a soft feel on the skin, is abundant, helping you warm up thoroughly from the core.

A full-fledged dry sauna in a quiet space filled with the warmth of wood, gently enveloping you in a pleasant heat. It offers a deeply immersive experience, as if everyday fatigue is washed away along with the sweat that pours from your whole body. After leaving the sauna, an outdoor air bathing area awaits, making it ideal for a refreshing moment of quietly turning inward and reconnecting with yourself.

A superb, icy cold plunge bath that refreshingly tightens a body thoroughly warmed in the sauna. Its clear cooling sensation instantly calms the heat throughout your body and smoothly leads you into the sense of totonou that follows during outdoor air bathing. If you head to the outdoor air bathing space with the infinity open-air bath, you can experience the ultimate comfort, as if your whole body is melting into the murmuring stream and the natural breeze.
