About Atami Izusan Karaku
"Atami Izusan Karaku" is an inn in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture, with every room featuring a private open-air hot spring bath. The observation public bath on the 7th floor opens onto an infinity-style open-air bath that feels seamlessly connected to Sagami Bay, letting you savor the daytime seascape sparkling in the sun and the moonlit water at night. The spring water contains sulfate and chloride, leaving the skin smooth and soft, and after bathing you can also refresh body and mind in the sauna and cold plunge bath provided separately for men and women. Hot SpringONSEN
Public bath
An observation public bath on the 7th floor. Step out from the glass-walled indoor bath and you will find an infinity-style open-air bath where the water seems to merge seamlessly with Sagami Bay. The spring water, containing sulfate and chloride, is smooth and mellow, leaving the skin supple and helping warmth linger so you do not cool down easily after bathing. By day, the sea sparkles in the light; by night, the water shimmers under the moon. As the scenery changes moment by moment, your sense of time quietly dissolves away.
Private open-air bath in guest rooms
A private open-air hot spring bath installed on the balcony of every guest room. You can soak whenever you like, for as long as you like, without worrying about anyone else’s gaze. Below, Sagami Bay stretches out before you, allowing you to take in the light rising from the horizon in the morning and the moonlit sea at night, all while remaining in the bath. On the balcony, where only the sound of the waves reaches you, the time of your journey deepens in quiet luxury.

Smoke sauna
A smoke sauna installed in each of the men’s and women’s public baths. Inside the wood-lined room, a faintly smoky, aromatic fragrance lingers, and from the moment the door closes, the sense of the outside world fades away. Equipped with auto löyly, it delivers a soft, rounded heat that slowly seeps deep into the body.
Dry sauna
A dry sauna attached to the men’s public bath. The dry heat reaches the skin directly, and as you sit upright, sweat begins to pour out without end. There are no unnecessary sounds in the quiet, wood-lined room, leaving only your own breathing. At this inn far removed from daily life, it is a time to focus solely on facing the heat.
Steam sauna
A steam sauna attached to the women’s public bath. Fine steam fills the room in white, gently enveloping the skin while slowly bringing heat to the body’s core. With mild warmth that does not feel stifling, you can remain in it for a long time without worrying about your hair or skin drying out. As sweat softly begins to bead on the surface, tension gradually eases away.

By car
- About 30 minutes from Ishibashi IC on the Odawara-Atsugi Road and the Seisho Bypass via National Route 135.
- About 2 hours from Tokyo (Nihonbashi) via the Tomei Expressway, Atsugi IC, the Odawara-Atsugi Road, the Seisho Bypass, Ishibashi IC, and National Route 135.
- From the Nagoya area, about 40 minutes via the Tomei Expressway, Numazu IC, the Izu Jukan Road, Oba-Kannami, Atami Ume Line, and National Route 135.
By train and bus
- Tokyo Station → Tokaido Shinkansen Hikari, about 35 minutes (Kodama, about 50 minutes) → Atami Station → about 7 minutes by taxi or shuttle.
- Tokyo Station → Odoriko limited express, about 1 hour 20 minutes → Atami Station → about 7 minutes by taxi or shuttle.
- Shin-Osaka Station → Tokaido Shinkansen Hikari, about 2 hours 20 minutes → Atami Station.
Shuttle service
