"Hotel New Akao" is an ocean-view resort hotel built on the cliffs of Nisikigaura, a scenic spot in Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture. Inside the hotel are three large public baths, including Sparium Nishiki, an infinity-style open-air bath that feels as if it merges with the sea, where you can luxuriate in a bath-hopping experience using different natural chloride hot spring waters from the hotel's own sources. From the sauna room windows, you can also take in the beautiful seascape of Sagami Bay, and wrapped in a vast panorama of ocean and sky, you can experience overwhelming relaxation that makes you forget everyday life.
An infinity-design open-air bath where the edge of the tub and the sea blend together, giving you the liberating feeling of bathing amid the sky and ocean. Located right at the edge of the cliff, it offers beautiful views of the sunrise and the moon path rising over the water. The hotel's own chloride hot spring water soothes both body and mind, leaving the skin smooth and providing excellent heat retention.
A large public bath on the 3rd floor of the Horizon Wing, with an ocean-view indoor bath and an open-air bath that shines beautifully as it reflects the sunlight. This bath also draws from a private hot spring source different from Sparium Nishiki, allowing you to slowly enjoy high-quality hot spring waters and ocean scenery.
A large public bath on the 1st floor of the Ocean Wing. With the sea only 5m away, you can enjoy the hot spring while hearing the crashing waves and feeling the refreshing sea breeze up close. It is the closest of the three large baths to sea level, offering a bathing experience full of rustic charm.
A sauna attached to the large public bath Sparium Nishiki in the Horizon Wing. It is located in a mixed-gender bath area, and the room has square windows that let you gaze out at the superb view of Sagami Bay while you enjoy the sauna. There is no cold plunge bath, so the style here is to cool down with the shower just outside the sauna room, then enjoy outdoor bathing while feeling the sea breeze on the edge of the terraced open-air bath.
