About Aoki Shima no Yado Kumano Bettei Nakanoshima

"Aoki Shima no Yado Kumano Bettei Nakanoshima" is a luxurious hot spring inn on a small island floating in Katsuura Bay in Nachikatsuura Town, Higashimuro District, Wakayama Prefecture, offering the rare experience of a single inn on a single island. About 5 minutes by private shuttle boat from Katsuura Port, it offers a sense of serene seclusion, completely cut off from everyday life. Six abundant private springs on the island produce 700 tons, or 486 liters per minute, of natural hot spring water. The spectacular open-air bath Kishu Chomon no Yu, a free-flowing spring bath with waves lapping close before your eyes, is pure bliss, as if you were becoming one with the sea. You can also enjoy the abundant waters in the private open-air baths in the guest rooms and the reserved private open-air baths (reservation required).

Large Bath (Indoor Bath)

A spacious stone indoor bath overlooking the calm Katsuura Bay outside the window. It luxuriously uses the sulfurous sodium chloride spring from the private source on the island in a combined flow-and-circulation system. Because it contains a high level of salt, it retains heat exceptionally well, leaving your body warm and comfortable long after bathing while leaving your skin moisturized and smooth.

A reservation-only private open-air bath where you can enjoy a soak while taking in the beautiful seascape of Katsuura in complete privacy.
