Shiobara Oami Yumori Tanakaya is a long-established ryokan in Shiobara Oami Onsen, in Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture, with a proud 1,200-year history since the hot spring was first opened. It owns three private source springs, and all baths in the building use 100% natural hot spring water in a full free-flowing spring style with no added water, no heating, no circulation, no filtration, and no disinfection. Located along the gorge of the Hoki River, it offers the famous mixed-gender open-air bath Ishi no Yu, reached by descending 300 steps, as well as the women-only open-air bath Bijin Yu, where you can take in the overwhelming beauty of nature up close.

A spacious large bath inside the building. It includes the highly scenic Observation Bath, with reclining baths, full-body baths, and bubble baths, as well as the calm Gorge Bath. All baths also use a full free-flowing spring style with no added water, no heating, and no circulation. The sulfate spring water is known for its moisturizing effects and fatigue recovery, and at the drinking spring area, you can even drink the hot spring water.
