In the spacious open-air bath, the largest in the Shimoda Onsen area, and the retro, atmospheric large public bath, fresh water is always maintained through daily drain-and-clean maintenance. In addition to calm Japanese-style rooms, there are also rooms with private open-air baths where guests can enjoy a secluded soak. Guests can also savor the rich natural beauty of Amakusa's west coast and creative cuisine featuring carefully selected spiny lobster and local fish prepared by seafood experts.

We offer the renowned Shimoda Onsen, which has a history of more than 700 years since it first opened, as a fully natural hot spring with no added water, no heating, and no circulation. The colorless, clear water has a smooth feel and is also expected to benefit the skin. Daily drain-and-clean maintenance keeps the baths consistently fresh and clean. You can experience a luxurious soak that lets you feel nature's blessings just as they are in the spacious open-air bath and retro large public bath.
