It also features Japan's first lactic acid bacteria bath, "Ryujin Bath," which helps leave the skin feeling smooth, and two distinctive baths that can be enjoyed in a gender-swapping rotation. A sauna with a TV and a mellow cold bath using cold mineral spring water are also available, allowing guests to fully savor a luxurious bathing experience unique to this famed water village.
Guests can luxuriate in a free-flowing natural hot spring of soft water containing radon that rises from deep underground. A wood-lined dry sauna with a TV, installed in each of the gender-swapping public baths. The calm interior lets you quietly focus on yourself and work up a good sweat at a relaxed pace. Sit on the upper bench for strong heat, or on the lower bench for a milder temperature where you can enjoy the TV while bathing at ease.
