About Ikaho Onsen Ryokan Jushin no Sato Hibikino

"Jushin no Sato Hibikino" is an onsen ryokan in Shibukawa, Gunma Prefecture, set on a vast site of about 15,000 tsubo with a beautiful Japanese garden. It serves the historic spring water Ikaho is proud of, Kogane no Yu, as a full free-flowing natural hot spring in the open-air bath, while the indoor baths use the clear, silky Shiragane no Yu. In the authentic dry sauna attached to the large public bath, automatic löyly is performed every hour, and you can also enjoy an intensely cold rock cold plunge bath in the open-air area and the ultimate outdoor air bath from the deck chairs.

Open-Air Bath Kogane no Yu

A beautiful open-air bath made of polished granite, connected to the large public bath. It is filled with the rare Kogane no Yu, a hot spring long associated with Ikaho Onsen that contains iron and turns brown when exposed to the air, offered as a fresh, fully free-flowing spring with no added water or reheating. In an outstanding location surrounded by quiet natural woodland and gardens on a site of about 15,000 tsubo, you can fully savor the finest onsen atmosphere while feeling the clear air like you are forest bathing.

Large Public Bath Indoor Bath Shiragane no Yu

A clean, spacious indoor bath that serves as the route to the sauna and open-air bath. The water uses Shiragane no Yu, Ikaho's newer spring, which is colorless, transparent, and gentle on the skin. With filtration and circulation for constant cleanliness and a comfortable temperature, the hot spring gently warms your body stiffened by travel and serves as an excellent starting point for alternating hot-and-cold bathing, connecting smoothly to the sauna, cold bath, and free-flowing open-air bath while loosening both body and mind.

Private Bath

Two luxurious private baths with different atmospheres, where you can enjoy Ikaho's famous hot spring exclusively without worrying about anyone else in a private space. The water is the transparent Shiragane no Yu, which is gentle and suitable for everyone from small children to elderly guests, making it ideal for private moments with family or as a couple. There is also a newly built private bath suite with a private spa design, offering a high-quality, quiet private bathing experience.

A genuine high-temperature dry sauna located in the area connecting the indoor bath and the open-air bath of the large public bath. The room temperature is set quite high, allowing you to work up a strong sweat efficiently in a short time. Every hour on the hour, it features an automatic löyly performance that instantly fills the room with rich heat and creates exceptional comfort. In this quiet, calm sauna room, you can enjoy a luxurious time together with Ikaho's historic famous hot spring.

A wild, round stone cold plunge bath installed right next to the free-flowing open-air Kogane no Yu. It is unheated and unadjusted, reflecting the crisp natural air of Ikaho, and is especially icy-cold in winter, with a chilling, almost ice-water level of coldness. With excellent access directly from the sauna room, you can quickly cool and tighten your body, then enjoy the ultimate outdoor air bath while looking out over the garden from the adjacent deck chairs.
