Gifu Gero City

"Gero Onsen Yunoshimakan" is a long-established hot spring ryokan that has stood on the hillside of Yunoshima Mountain in Gero City, Gifu Prefecture since 1931. Its stately wooden architecture, including the main building in sukiya style, is designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. Located on the highest ground in Gero Onsen, this distinguished inn lets guests luxuriate in the superb waters of Gero Onsen, one of Japan's three famous hot springs, at the open-air baths, the observation open-air bath, and even the baths in the guest rooms, all fed directly from its private source with no added water and no reheating.
