"Shiunso" is a long-established hot spring ryokan in Tōnosawa Onsen, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture. Standing on the former site of Baron Okura’s villa, the founder of Hotel Okura, it offers soothing views of the Hayakawa stream flowing below. Its pride is its hot spring, fed by its own source with an abundant yield of 70 tons per day. This mildly alkaline simple hot spring has a smooth, silky feel, leaves the skin soft and refined, and is also famous as a spring for children. Guests can fully enjoy private time at the detached open-air bath Kanzan no Yu, reached by crossing a dedicated suspension bridge and surrounded by magnificent nature, as well as private baths made with ancient Japanese cypress and rooms with open-air baths.
