Tochigi Nasu Town

Nasu Onsen Sanraku is a long-established luxury Japanese ryokan in Nasu Town, Tochigi Prefecture, founded in Taisho 12 and proud of its tradition and refined elegance. It is known as the inn where, when Emperor Showa stayed there, he was so taken with the beautiful scenery that it became the inspiration for the construction of Nasu Imperial Villa. It owns a plentiful private spring that gushes out more than 800 liters per minute, and takes pride in its lavish completely free-flowing natural hot spring water, with no added water, no heating, no circulation, no filtration, and no disinfection whatsoever. Guests can fully enjoy superb water to their heart's content amid the beautiful nature of Nasu, with a large open-air bath spanning 30 tatami mats, a small open-air bath with a gazebo, and a large indoor bath made of granite. Rooms with private open-air baths using free-flowing hot spring water are also available.
