About Awaji Hamarikyu

Awaji Hamarikyu is a modern Japanese-style hot spring resort that gracefully blends classical Japanese beauty with contemporary functionality, tucked away in Keino Matsubara, a scenic spot selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Sunset Views. Its greatest attraction is the private source, Ushioso onsen Tennen no Yu, which contains so much bicarbonate that it surpasses Japan's three famed beauty waters. With an astonishingly smooth, lotion-like, silky bath feel, guests can savor its superb skin-beautifying effects in the open-air baths and indoor baths of the large public bath, Niwa no Yu. The large bath area also features a quiet, compact, authentic dry sauna with no TV and soft indirect lighting. After the sauna, you can shower off at the cold shower right next door, then enjoy a refined outdoor air bath in the open-air area overlooking the garden, while feeling the pleasant sea breeze sweeping in from the pine grove. Many rooms also come with their own private open-air hot spring baths, creating an exquisite stay perfectly suited to a luxurious private getaway.

Hot SpringONSEN

Ushioso onsen Tennen no Yu

Niwa no Yu, the large public bath fed by Ushioso onsen Tennen no Yu, the private source that represents the Minamiawaji Onsen area. This alkaline hot spring is extremely rich in sodium and bicarbonate ions, and its remarkably smooth, slippery bath feel is its defining feature. The comforting sensation feels almost as if you were wrapped in serum or lotion, and it has long been highly regarded as a beauty bath because your skin feels smooth after bathing.
