About Yunokuni Tensyo

"Yunokuni Tensyo" is a hot spring ryokan in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture. A large inn that represents Yamashiro Onsen, it lets guests tour three enormous communal baths that alternate for men and women, and enjoy 18 different types of bathing, including Goemon baths and barrel baths, as part of the "one night, three baths, 18-yu-meguri" experience. Yugen-no-Yudono and Kutani-no-Yudokoro are equipped with two high-temperature saunas with distinct atmospheres, along with smooth, easy-to-enter cold plunge baths. It has also introduced the ultimate premium suites, complete with private saunas, jacuzzi cold plunge baths, and terraces in the guest rooms. The property also offers an impressive range of free hospitality touches, such as onsen egg-making experiences, steamed potatoes, and a drink bar.

Hot SpringONSEN

Yugen-no-Yudono

A spacious, nature-rich communal bath on the 3rd floor. It is filled with soft, skin-friendly weakly alkaline water from the facility's own hot spring source, allowing guests to luxuriate in beautiful skin waters through medicinal baths, lying-down baths, half-body baths, large tubs, and more. Bathing in the open-air area, where a gentle breeze passes through, pleasantly releases daily tension.

Takimi-no-Yuya

A communal bath on the 1st floor with a dramatic view of a rocky mountain and a powerful waterfall right in front of you. While listening to the murmuring of the stream and feeling the negative ions from the waterfall, you can tour open-air baths with distinctive styles such as large Shigaraki-yaki Goemon baths, barrel baths, and kettle baths, and enjoy the high-quality water from the facility's own source in an attraction-like way.

Kutani-no-Yudokoro

An exceptionally beautiful communal bath on the 1st floor, where gorgeous painted plates of Kaga's traditional craft, Kutani ware, are displayed across the entire wall. Guests can soak in the hot spring while gazing at the refined Japanese garden from the atmospheric pure-Japanese space, and the open-air area also offers an authentic "gengen-sen Goemon bath" (free-flowing hot spring).

Guest Room Open-Air Bath

A luxurious private open-air bath set on the wood terrace or balcony of special rooms with open-air baths, made from Shigaraki ware or hinoki cypress. Guests can enjoy bathing in the smooth water from the facility's own source whenever they like, 24 hours a day, all to themselves without concern for others. The ultimate private relaxation amenity.

SaunaSAUNA

01SAUNA

Yugen-no-Yudono Dry Sauna

Men'sWomen's

A relatively spacious dry sauna adjacent to the 3rd-floor communal bath, Yugen-no-Yudono. With no TV, it offers a quiet and calm atmosphere filled with mild yet deeply warming heat that gradually heats the whole body. After soaking in the hot spring first, it delivers extremely efficient sweating, then leads seamlessly from the adjoining cold plunge bath to a pleasant outdoor-air bath in the open-air area.

02SAUNA

Kutani-no-Yudokoro Dry Sauna

Men'sWomen's

A slightly smaller dry sauna adjacent to the 1st-floor communal bath, Kutani-no-Yudokoro. Because of the limited space, heat convection is excellent, and the room is set to a fairly high temperature to trigger fast, powerful sweating. A serious setup that fully satisfies even experienced sauna users.

03SAUNA

Guest Room Private Sauna

Men'sWomen's

A luxurious private dry sauna installed in the top-class room, Tensyo-no-Ma Premium Suite. Spacious enough for two adults to sit side by side comfortably, it lets you enjoy the ultimate sweating session in your own private space without worrying about being seen. Turn the indoor jacuzzi into a cold plunge bath and enjoy elegant outdoor-air bathing on the wood terrace, the height of luxury.

Cold BathCOLD BATH

01COLD BATH

Communal Bath Cold Plunge Bath

Men'sWomen's

Cold plunge baths are available in both Yugen-no-Yudono and Kutani-no-Yudokoro, sized for 2 people and 1 person respectively. The water is set to a mellow temperature that is not too cold, yet gently and carefully tones the body, making it very comfortable even for sauna beginners. An essential cool-down bath for alternating hot-and-cold bathing after the sauna.
