About Nishimuraya Honkan

Nishimuraya Honkan is a long-established hot spring ryokan in Kinosaki Town, Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, with a history spanning more than 160 years. Its elegant traditional beauty is reflected in the sukiya-style wooden architecture, designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property, and in the meticulously maintained Japanese garden that feels like a work of art. Inside the building are three large public baths: Kichi no Yu, fragrant with the scent of hinoki; Fuku no Yu, accented by exotic tile decoration; and Nao no Yu, which overlooks a beautiful courtyard. Guests can fully enjoy Kinosaki's renowned historic hot springs. Exceptional cuisine such as Tajima beef and winter Matsuba crab, along with first-class, attentive hospitality, promise an unforgettable stay.

Hot SpringONSEN

Kichi no Yu

Kichi no Yu is a large bath and garden open-air bath filled with the rich warmth of hinoki. Warm your body from the inside out in the spacious hinoki indoor bath infused with a gentle woody aroma, then enjoy the smooth hot spring water to the fullest in the beautiful open-air rock bath surrounded by an atmospheric garden, where you can feel the refreshing breeze of Kinosaki's abundant nature.

Fuku no Yu

Fuku no Yu is an exotic large bath that incorporates the charm of Chinese traditional puzhe, a floor pattern made by arranging flat tiles in a mosaic. The stylish indoor bath, with its Oriental elegance and atmosphere, and the open-air bath where you can soak in Kinosaki's renowned hot spring under clear, fresh air, create a quiet and modern bathing experience of the highest order.

Nao no Yu

Nao no Yu is a large bath quietly situated in Hirata-kan, an annex designed by a master of sukiya-style architecture. Through the large glass windows, you can gaze at the Japanese garden, which changes beautifully with the seasons like a single work of art, and leisurely enjoy the softly skin-soothing weak saline spring in a space of utter tranquility.
