"Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Sakurai" is a high-end, Showa-modern hot spring hotel in Kusatsu Town, Agatsuma District, Gunma Prefecture, boasting one of the largest scales in Kusatsu. Located about a 9-minute walk from Yubatake, it is known for its hot spring culture experiences held every night in the hotel, such as the Yumo-mi Show and the Sakura Taiko Show. Its pride and joy is the bath area: a grand public bath approximately 30 meters long, offering an overwhelming sense of openness and among the largest in Kusatsu Onsen. It draws water from three of Kusatsu's main sources: Bandai-ko Spring, Nishi-no-Kawara Spring, and the rare, gentle milky-white Wata no Yu Spring, allowing guests to enjoy an exquisite comparison of 100% free-flowing natural spring waters.

Grand Bath Shirane / Agatsuma Indoor Bath

The main grand bath is one of the largest in Kusatsu Onsen, with an overwhelming spaciousness and a length of about 30 meters. There are separate baths for men, Shirane, and for women, Agatsuma, both beautifully lit by sunlight through large windows and warmed by the comfort of wood. The water is a 100% free-flowing blend of Kusatsu's famous Bandai-ko Spring and Nishi-no-Kawara Spring. Guests can stretch out in the vast tub and dynamically soothe the fatigue of travel.

Grand Bath Open-Air Bath Rock Open-Air Bath

A rustic rock-built open-air bath surrounded by a Japanese garden. In addition to Bandai-ko Spring and Nishi-no-Kawara Spring, it draws the highly prized Wata no Yu Spring, which is rare among Kusatsu inns because few properties bring it in, and is known for its very gentle texture and milky-white color. Soak in the sulfur-scented, milky bath and fully experience the charms of Kusatsu's different springs with all five senses while feeling the pleasant highland breeze and the changing seasons on your skin. It is a superb open-air bath.

Separate Bath Shakunage / Rindo

A paid special bath with a limit of 20 groups per day, dedicated to staying guests only. Shakunage and Rindo are designed for ultimate tranquility and luxury. In this spacious, calm Japanese-modern setting, you can avoid crowds and soak leisurely in the famed hot spring. This separate bath is also lavishly filled with Kusatsu's high-quality free-flowing natural hot spring water, making it ideal for enjoying a quieter, more luxurious onsen tour with a strong sense of privacy.
