Tsutsujitei

Immerse yourself in superb famous hot springs and sauna at a secluded retreat with ten rooms, embraced by 5,000 tsubo of natural forest

Gunma Kusatsu Town

"Tsutsujitei" is an upscale ryokan with fine dining, a secluded retreat for adults, where only ten buildings, with ten rooms in total, quietly stand on a vast site of about 5,000 tsubo in Kusatsu Town, Agatsuma District, Gunma Prefecture. Built in harmony with a natural forest garden of about 3,000 tsubo that occupies most of the grounds, it offers an utterly luxurious stay with superb kaiseki cuisine. At the large public bath, Urara no Yu, you can enjoy 100% free-flowing Bandai Kō spring water in the indoor bath and in the cypress open-air bath that blends into the rustling natural forest, and both men and women also have a full sauna. In addition, the spacious private open-air bath, Tama no Yu, reserved exclusively for overnight guests, lets you fully enjoy the famous Yubatake spring water.
