Gunma Shibukawa City

"Ikaho Onsen Kishigon Ryokan" is a long-established hot spring inn founded in Tensho 4 (1576) during the Azuchi-Momoyama period, boasting more than 400 years of history. It stands facing Ikaho’s famous symbol, the Ishidan-gai stone steps street. The inn takes pride in its rare natural spring, "Kogane no Yu," a hot spring cherished in Ikaho since ancient times. Rich in iron and turning a cloudy brownish tea color, this sulfate spring is used as 100% free-flowing natural spring water with no recirculation or added water at all. Guests can enjoy the refined bathing atmosphere unique to this historic inn across a diverse range of 13 bathing areas, including the cypress-built open-air bath "Gonzaemon no Yu," which faithfully recreates a ukiyo-e print, and the observation bath "Rokuzaemon no Yu," where the mountains can be seen in the distance.
