A panoramic main bathhouse set on the top floor of the lodging building. The water is a natural radon onsen, a rarity anywhere in Japan, classed as a simple weakly radioactive spring. Rich in radon, it is known for warming you to the core, and your skin keeps a soft, moist feel after you step out. Sink into the spacious bath and, beyond the large windows, the ridgelines of the three peaks of Hiruzen and a panorama of pastures where Jersey cows graze open up before you. Wrapped in clear light in the morning and in the stillness of the highlands at night, you can lose track of time as you watch the scenery change with the seasons. Its listed indications are joint pain, muscle pain, neuralgia, bruises, recovery from fatigue and sensitivity to cold.
