An onsen resort in a fishing town facing the entrance to Ago Bay in Shima City, Mie Prefecture. Inns stand in the town of Hamajima, known for its catch of spiny lobster, and from the baths you can enjoy views of the sun setting into the Pacific Ocean. It is within easy reach of the Ise Grand Shrine and Yokoyama Observatory, which overlooks Ago Bay, and is chosen as a base for exploring Ise-Shima.
