Yuami no Shima at Nagashima Onsen is one of Japan’s largest hot spring facilities, attached to Nagashima Resort in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture. It offers 17 baths for men and women combined, with a major highlight being the magnificent open-air baths set in vast natural scenery modeled after Kurobe Gorge and Oirase Stream. There are two types of sauna, high-temperature and low-temperature, so you can work up a sweat to suit your preference. The hot spring is an alkaline simple spring known as the beauty bath, and some tubs offer fresh 100% source water with free-flowing onsen.
