Choshi Grand Hotel is a hot spring hotel in Inubosaki, Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture, with all rooms facing the ocean. Its own source, Kodai no Yu, springs from a 1,300 m-deep stratum from the Cretaceous period and is a highly warming strong saline hot spring. You can enjoy it in a rugged stone bath that makes full use of the natural terrain of Choshi stone. From the panoramic bath in the large public bath, which overlooks the magnificent Pacific Ocean, you can watch the beautiful sunrise rising from the horizon. A compact dry sauna with the pleasant sound of still water, and a gentle cold water bath using soft groundwater are also available, helping you thoroughly soothe the fatigue of your journey.
Kodai no Yu springs from a stratum about 1,300 m underground and around 120 million years ago, from the Cretaceous period. Its spring quality is sodium-chloride strong saline hot spring, with a high salt concentration that warms you deeply from the core. In a rugged stone bath that makes use of the natural terrain of Choshi stone as it is, you can enjoy a luxurious bathing experience that feels as if you are melting into nature itself.
A proper, compact dry sauna equipped in the large public bath. The quiet, two-tier L-shaped room is filled with powerful heat, efficiently warming the body and promoting a rich sweat. There is no TV, so you can spend a calm, meditative time while listening to the faint sound of bathwater and the quiet background music in the hotel. It is ideal for quickly washing away daily stress and travel fatigue.
A cold water bath located right next to the sauna room. It uses pleasant pumped groundwater, giving it a soft feel on the skin with little irritation. The temperature is gentle rather than too cold, allowing you to slowly cool down and softly tighten your overheated body after the sauna. While feeling the open atmosphere of the bath area overlooking the Pacific Ocean, it smoothly guides you into the step toward totonou.
