The Shiroyama Terrace Tsuyama Bettei is an upscale hotel in Tsuyama, Okayama Prefecture, designed around the concept of a guesthouse. At the hot-spring public bath, Shiromi SPA, floating on the 8th floor of the hotel, guests can enjoy Dodo Onsen, Tsuyama’s famed spring long cherished as a beautifying bath. From the open-air bath, there is a sweeping view of the ruins of Tsuyama Castle in Kakuzan Park, and at night you can luxuriate in the bath while admiring the beautifully illuminated scenery. Inside the public bath, there is also a full-fledged dry sauna where you can work up a good sweat and refresh yourself, as well as a crisp, cold water bath.

Dodo Onsen has long been loved as a bath that helps create beautiful skin. It is a simple, mildly radioactive cold mineral spring with a very gentle, smooth feel, and is also said to help relieve neuralgia, muscle pain, and joint pain. Both the indoor bath and the open-air bath are generously fed with this famous spring, and from the open-air bath you can enjoy a panoramic view of the majestic scenery of the ruins of Tsuyama Castle (Bitchu Yagura), making for a luxurious bathing experience where history and nature come together.
