"Yufuri Nasu Takao Onsen Lodge, a no-frills inn" is a self-service hot spring inn in Nasu-machi, Nasu-gun, Tochigi Prefecture, that does away with hospitality style service. It has its own spring source from the hidden hot spring Takao Onsen, which has been passed down since the Edo period, and the cloudy sulfur spring rich in metasilicic acid is said to promote beautiful skin. The view from the 1,000m-high plateau is magnificent, and you can enjoy a luxurious do-nothing time at the mixed-gender, free-flowing, scenic lukewarm bath Sky Open-Air Pool and the large public bath.
A large public bath where you can enjoy Takao Gensen, which springs forth in the quiet forest of Nasu Takao, embraced by nature at an altitude of 1,000 meters. It is rich in metasilicic acid, a beauty-skin ingredient, and its gentle texture is like natural lotion. From the large windows of the indoor bath and the open-air bath, you can take in the spectacular views of the plateau that change with the seasons and time of day.
A luxurious mixed-gender large open-air bath with lukewarm water, filled directly with freshly gushing water from the inn's own source without any dilution, heating, or circulation. The majestic mountains viewed from an altitude of 1,000 meters and the unobstructed sky are truly breathtaking.
