Its private spring, Hiyoriyama Onsen, which gushes from strata dating back 20,000 years, is rich in salt and is known as an “iyu” that warms you right down to your core and keeps you comfortably warm for a long time. The spacious public baths, Urashima and Otohime, are equipped with open-air baths overlooking the horizon, waterfall showers, and a sauna.
