Large bath
A bathing area that combines an infinity-style open-air bath, where the water seems to spill away toward the sea, with a bright observation bath featuring large glass windows. It draws from Minami-Awaji Onsen, known as a therapeutic spring within the Minami-Awaji Onsen area, and, as a chloride spring, its warmth lingers on the skin long after you get out. Soaking up to your shoulders in the open-air bath leaves only the sea and sky in view, while the graceful Ohnaruto Bridge stretches out below, and at times the white spray of the whirlpools and the silhouettes of passing boats appear. All you hear is the sound of the tide. At dusk, when the strait turns gold, time seems to flow as if the whole bath were being drawn into the scenery. After bathing, you’ll want to sink into the reclining space overlooking the sea and let the sea breeze carry you away.
