"Suruga Health Land" is one of the largest bath and spa facilities in Shizuoka City’s Shimizu Ward. It is open 24 hours a day and overnight stays are available. The sauna area features five or more types, including a high-temperature sauna over 100°C, a Finnish sauna with an ocean view from the windows, and herbal and crystal saunas, making it a true sauna theme park. In addition to a crisp, cold groundwater bath, there is also a source-fed cold spring in the men’s bath. It pairs perfectly with outdoor bathing in the sea breeze. The "Ancient Bath," gushing up from the seabed from more than 10 million years ago, is a therapeutic spring renowned for its high healing effects.
A natural hot spring drawn from seabed strata, using fossil seawater that is more than 10 million years old. It contains extremely high levels of salt and minerals and is designated a therapeutic spring with highly recognized medical healing effects. The salt film wraps around the skin, helping retain warmth for a long time, and you stay comfortably warm even after bathing. Bathing in the open-air bath with a sweeping view of Suruga Bay is truly spectacular.
Renewed in 2024, this authentic sauna room now features a large HARVIA heater. The powerful heat of over 100°C quickly envelops your entire body and encourages deep sweating in a short time. The detox effect of the heated mugwort stone can also be expected, making this a strong sweating experience that will satisfy even sauna enthusiasts seeking intense heat.

A spacious cold bath that makes generous use of groundwater. Its crisp coolness at around 16°C refreshingly tightens your body after the sauna, while its smooth feel gently surrounds you from head to toe. In the open-air area, there is also a source-fed cold spring containing the natural hot spring minerals as they are, offering a different and exceptional way to cool down from the groundwater bath.
