Kochi Kochi City
The charm of Taisho Romantic style and one of the prefecture's largest open-air baths. Natural hot springs with an expansive sense of openness
"Tosa Mochizuki Onsen Himewako no Yu" is a day-use hot spring facility in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture. With a Taisho Romantic style throughout the building, it offers a nostalgic yet refined space that feels like a small getaway, a little removed from everyday life. Its open-air bath, one of the largest in the prefecture, is appealing for its location with a broad view toward the eastern sky, where guests can enjoy a luxurious soak while feeling the abundant sunlight by day and gentle moonlight by night. In addition to natural hot spring water that warms you to the core and a high-concentration artificial carbonated spring, the facility also features a full range of bathing amenities, including an authentic sauna with automatic löyly. After bathing, guests can relax at the dining area serving locally sourced ingredients or in the rest area boasting a library of several thousand books.

A natural hot spring consisting of a prefecture-leading open-air bath and a spacious indoor bath. It uses monochloramine disinfection, resulting in less of an irritating odor and a gentle feel that is less likely to leave the skin feeling tight. In the open-air area, which opens widely toward the eastern sky, you can enjoy a relaxing soak with a special sense of openness, bathed in abundant sunlight during the day and gentle moonlight at night.

An artificial carbonated spring available in the indoor bath. Fine carbon dioxide dissolved in the water gently envelops the whole body and warms it gradually from within. It is less tiring even with long baths, and the comforting warmth continues pleasantly after you get out.

A high-temperature sauna wrapped in powerful heat from far infrared rays. On the men's side, an automatic löyly service is offered, allowing guests to enjoy a hot-air bath that rapidly raises the perceived temperature inside the room. It is a space that promotes ample sweating and brings deep refreshment to both body and mind.

A tasteful steam sauna provided in a separate building in the open-air area. Even those who are not fond of high-temperature dry saunas are less likely to feel suffocated here, and can slowly enjoy a gentle sweat while being wrapped in pleasant steam.

A salt sauna equipped in the women-only area. By placing salt on the skin and gently working it in, it helps remove old keratin and dirt from pores while promoting perspiration and tightening the skin. It is a sauna that can leave the skin smooth and moisturized, making it a welcome choice for women aiming for beautiful skin.

A cold water bath that quickly cools down a heated body. It has a solid depth and ample space, offering a refreshing chill that envelops the entire body. After the cold water bath, you can smoothly move on to an outdoor air bath in the open-air area and enjoy a blissful time of rest.

The women-only bedrock bath facility Mizukibo. With the gentle perspiration effect of far infrared rays, you can warm up slowly from deep within the body. In addition to the traditional lying-down style, there is also a space where you can relax while seated, allowing you to enjoy a soothing detox time in whatever way suits your mood that day.
